What great hole in the wall. Right next to Sidegate brew. Kind of divey inside, but I like that. Strictly counter service, but they will bring you your food. Food is on par with most taqueria's. Could use a larger portion of meat. Tried carnitas, carne asada and al pastor all average. What stands out here are the prices....much lower then nearby joints, like $5 cheaper. Only open till 4:30. It is strictly a lunch, early afternoon spot.

I like El Farolito. It's been my favorite Bay Area taqueria for about ten years. At least, the one in San Francisco's Mission District is (specifically the one on 24th Street). I remember finding this El Farolito in Concord completely by accident while driving in the area. Before I could eat here, they had closed down in 2020, I think (?) - fortunately only temporarily. I wanted to get my El Farolito kick without having to go all the way to SF and for that, this more than suffices. The main thing I usually get at every El Farolito I go to is the breakfast burrito. They serve what I consider to be the best AND most cost effective (as in, simultaneously) breakfast burrito in East Contra Costa County. It's around $8.75, which is wild to me. But there's probably a reason for that and I'll go into it in a bit. If we're strictly about every El Farolito branch's breakfast burritos, this one is probably the worst. That sounds harsh but that's more of a compliment of the breakfast burritos in the SF El Farolito branches than an indictment on this place's. The biggest problem with this place's breakfast burritos is that they don't include avocado anymore. They used to. Then they seemed to oscillate between including it or leaving it out. Now they just don't at all. It's not a HUGE deal but it's different from how the SF El Farolito branches do their breakfast burritos. I consider it an important distinction. I'll still buy it and happily do so. They still taste good as hell. Additionally, the workers here are quick, efficient, and very nice. I feel like if I asked them to add avocado to my breakfast burrito, they probably would for an extra charge. Parking can kinda suck depending on when you're in the area itself. That's a long essay to talk about breakfast burritos but I'm supposed to put in some effort to keep my vanity elite sticker.

We couldn't believe our eyes when we found out that this is the famous El Farolito from the mission in San Francisco so much closer to us and easier to get to! I think we stop by at least once a week the only problem is that the green salsa that we love so much - tastes a little bit watered down and doesn't pack the same heat. Also I really need some vegan options like maybe crispy potato tacos w a fiery jalapeño salsa? Please and thank you

I keep coming back good food decent service and the prices are reasonable. I just hate when I order something like a steak or chicken ranchero that before I leave the restaurant the liquid has spilled all in the bottom of the bag. I've asked on several occasions what they put it in a sealed container that happened once that I appreciated but the other times they still put it in a regular to go container which leaks. I know that you can understand the frustration placing it to go order and as you're trying to where you plan to eat that you have spillage from your order. Cleaning interior can get quite expensive. No one wants to have to do that anymore than they have to.

Great lunch spot. I've been here 3x this year and so far I have tried the streak quesadilla and super burrito the times I've visited. The food was flavorful and they don't skimp on the portions. Very friendly staff. I believe there is only 1 regular parking spot and 2 handicap spots in the front of their restaurant. The rest is street parking.

This was my first time back at El Farolito since before they shut down when the pandemic hit in 2020. I'm glad to say that while their reopening was long overdue, they haven't lost their trademark flavor and generous portions for a great price! I hope they'll extend their hours in the future to their original closing time, but since the Suisun City El Farolito shuttered, it's good to know we can still get our El Farolito burrito fix in the East Bay!

That was quick fast and easy!!! Food was hellla good and the prices you can't beat!!! Cheapest and best burritos around town!!!! The people workin were extremely friendly and helpful!!! Thank you for whipping them burritos up hella fast will be definitely coming back!!!!

The nachos were loaded down with generous portions of meat, sour cream, avocado, and gooey cheese (we requested no salsa). A real solid value for only $10. We opted to sit outside and they brought out high chairs for our kids along with the food. Jenbert Jr 1 loved this place. Tiny parking lot though. I'd come back here if I were in the area.

3.5 stars - El Farolito is one of my favorite burritos from SF so when I found out they had a location in Concord I had to try it. I ordered the Al Pastor Super Burrito for $8.75. They gave us chips at no extra charge. There's plenty of tables inside but we just ended up eating in our car. The quality and the taste were not comparable to the SF location but it was still decent compared to other spots in the Bay Area. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I was in the area and was craving for a burrito, then I would come back.
